Throughout the month of December, guests dining at LON’s and Last Drop will have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind hand-painted ornaments and holiday cards specifically created by the students from the Scottsdale Artists’ School.

On Sunday, December 7, students from the school will be on hand to customize these special gifts, with proceeds going towards scholarships allowing children who are less fortunate to attend the school’s Youth Academy winter and summer camps.

Van Gogh Still Life_Carrie CurranEnjoy a morning of entertaining art instruction while sipping mimosas, eating pastries and creating masterpieces in The Hermosa Inn’s stunning desert gardens. From enthusiastic beginners to emerging professionals, accomplished artist Carrie Curran will teach, inspire and guide guests on an artistic journey while using acrylic on canvas to vividly express interpretations of impressionistic style while learning to gracefully handle the medium. This class will be Van Gogh Still Life.

$75/class fee includes all supplies, a mimosa and pastries. Enrollment must be completed the Friday prior to each class to ensure reservation.

Aarti Paarti COVER

Celebrity Chef Aarti Sequeira, host of Taste in Translation on The Cooking Channel, winner of Next Food Network Star, and guest on Food Network shows including Chopped, and Iron Chef America Countdown comes to LON’s to kick off the Artist in Residence dinner series.

This exclusive event will begin with a meet and greet wine reception with Aarti, and a four-course wine-paired dinner prepared by the LON’s culinary team, followed by a salon-style evening where she will share her secrets and “how-to’s” on cooking with traditional Indian flavors and demo a recipe from her newly released cookbook AARTI PAARTI, An American Kitchen with an Indian Soul.

Barnes & Noble will also have books available for signing following the dinner.
