Inspired by The Hermosa Inn’s artistic roots, the Artist-in-Residence Dinner Series brings together hotel guests, locals, and an artist or author for one intimate evening of fine dining and conversation. This innovative program is held throughout the year in our highly acclaimed restaurant, LON’s at The Hermosa.

Canvas n’ Corks returns for a second season with special guest and internationally acclaimed artist, Mike Elsass. Back by popular demand. Elsass will personally guide participants how to let go of control and notions of “what is right” in order to paint what is natural at that precise moment.
Guests will learn to use color and texture in the Hermosa’s outdoor gardens, painting their own abstracts on both canvas and steel – all while drinking wine and enjoying snacks from the LON’s culinary team.

Uncork Your Inner Artist: Mimosa Mornings with Carrie Curran Art Studios
Enjoy a morning of entertaining art instruction while sipping mimosas, eating pastries and creating masterpieces in The Hermosa Inn’s stunning desert gardens. From enthusiastic beginners to emerging professionals, accomplished artist Carrie Curran will teach, inspire and guide guests on an artistic journey while using acrylic on canvas to vividly express interpretations of the Arizona Desert impressionistic style while learning to gracefully handle the medium.
$75/class fee includes all supplies, a mimosa and pastries. Enrollment must be completed the Friday prior to each class to ensure reservation.

This special Artist in Residence Brunch at LON’s will feature students from the ASU School of Art in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. As one of the top public comprehensive art schools in the nation, the students’ work represent a broad range of practices and showcase everything from ceramics and photography to printmaking and art education.
